American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy Authors’ and Reviewers’ Resource Center
AJHP now has a Web-based system for the submission and peer review of manuscripts. Authors should use this system to submit and track their new manuscripts. Persons (including current reviewers) interested in serving as peer reviewers should use the same link. To register and log into the system, please click here.
The American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy welcomes manuscripts from any source that are pertinent to the practice of pharmacy in health systems. Manuscripts are subject to review by qualified outside reviewers, as well as by the editors, and will be accepted for publication only if they are believed to represent an important contribution to the literature. Accepted materials become the permanent and sole property of ASHP and may not be published elsewhere without written permission from both the author and ASHP.
The editors reserve the right to revise all manuscripts submitted, if necessary. The publisher assumes no responsibility for the statements and opinions advanced by contributors to the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. The editors have the sole authority to decide, on the basis of published criteria in which section of the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy to publish an accepted manuscript.
For guidance on style, authors should consult the manuscript checklist, recent issues of the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, and Scientific Style and Format: The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, sixth edition. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language and the AMA’s Manual of Style contain helpful advice on correct usage.
Galley proofs are sent to authors for inspection against the original manuscript and for correction. Unnecessary alterations at this stage must be avoided. Extensive alterations will be charged to the author. An order form for reprints is sent to the corresponding author of each article at the time of publication.
